Who I Am
Hi! I’m Lisa Swerdlow, a non-attorney special education advocate, parent educator, and mom of three. With a Master’s in Special Education, a Bachelor’s in Education from USC, and over 20 years of experience supporting children and families, I bring together professional expertise and lived experience to help parents navigate the school system with confidence. My work is rooted in a strengths-based, compassionate approach, because every child deserves to be understood, supported, and truly championed.
What I Do
I help families across California navigate the special education process so they can advocate effectively for their child and secure the right IEP or 504 services, accommodations, and supports. I review records and assessments, translate complex information into clear next steps, prepare for and attend school meetings, and equip families with the knowledge and tools they need to feel empowered, informed, and confident in making important educational decisions.
